Weekly Newsletter 6/9/2025 to 6/12/2025

This will be the final weekly message of the 2024-25 school year as we only have four days remaining this week. I would like to thank all of our parents and families for their support this year and especially our PTO that put on many events and funded field trips to each of our grade levels. We look forward to working with everyone again next school year!

We will have events and activities throughout the week. Dates and times of each event is listed below. Our Kindergarten students will celebrate moving onto first grade on Wednesday, June 11th at 9:00am in the cafeteria. On Thursday, June 12th at 9:30am, sixth grade students will be promoting into 7th grade. These are two largely attended celebrations so account for extra time while finding parking on Barstow Ave. or in the neighborhood, and then the walk to Gibson!

Awards assemblies will be on Tuesday, June 10th for grades 1st - 5th. Students in 6th grade will receive awards during their promotion on Thursday. Our annual Water Day will be on

Monday, June 9th. Students may get wet during the games and competitions so have students bring a towel and extra clothes, if you choose.

Just a reminder, school will dismiss on our last day, Thursday, June 12th, at 12:30pm. All grade levels will dismiss at this time. We will not have Morning Care or After School Program on the last day. Their last day will be on Wednesday, June 11th.

Our state assessment scores have been coming in during the last week. You are able to access your child's scores in the Parent Atlas Portal, and also in your child's Atlas account by looking in the "assessments" section. There is a flyer below explaining how to access the scores. We will provide our schoolwide results when we return in August.

Let's have a fun and exciting last week and celebrate our sixth-grade students moving on to middle school! See you tomorrow morning!
